Magical Jungle Title Page.

Just a quicky dip into Magical Jungle. Because despite my sudden love affair with the the Jasmine Becket-Griffith Coloring Book I am actually keen to get back to this one.  With Polychromos pencils and a Derwent Artist green for the background glow. I decided to keep this one fairly simple.

I currently have a bunch of other pages in progress including two from Dagdrommar, one in The Magical City and one in Manic Botanic.  I have Beautiful Nature, Sommarnatt, The Magical Journey and Blomstermandala calling out to me too to get started.  Speaking of Beautiful Nature… Nicole Stocker has once again sent me an extra copy as a give away.  I will be announcing that competition very soon.

    Dear Peta:

This picture is beautiful in its simplicity. Did you use fineliners around the edges of the flowers on the lower left and leaves on the upper left? The colors you chose, as usual, are gorgeous. I know you’ve had a lot going on and that you’re anxious to get to your other coloring books but I was wondering if part 3 of the jelly fish background would be done soon. I hope everything is getting back to normal for you. You deserve only the best.

Simple is good and relaxing too. I think this is beautiful. I’m still working on Escape to Christmas Past but I’m starting to run out of steam. I think that I will try this book next.

It seems my coloring books have a life of their own as they grab hold of me and won’t let go. Thank you so much for the Dagdrommer tutorials on faces and hair. I finally got the courage to actually COLOR instead of just watch it again and again, and I love the result. Never could have done it without you! Also, thanks for more color combos of leaves on this page, and I love how you do your parrots! Sending lots of love and good vibes your was and hoping all is sell with you. Really missed you! Take care.

I totally agree about the tutorials on face colouring. It helped so much. I love this drawing with what Peta calls simple colours. She is just fabulous and following her I find makes me learn so much more than sitting there and practicing on my own. To follow Peta as a fan is to grow as a colourist. Thanks a million Peta??
