Colouring Competition for the Month of June!

I am excited to announce the start of the La-Artistino and Micador colouring competition!  This competition will run from Monday the 6th June 2016 to Sunday midnight 3rd July 2016.

I have created three unique Australian themed colouring pages for you to colour.  IMPORTANT! Note these are just preview pictures… Scroll down below to the links to the HIGH quality PDF file links to download the colouring pages!!!

Platypus_CP_PetaHewitt2016

A sleepy platypus having a relaxing neck massage in a forest stream. I’ve included a few of my butterfly boys in this picture as they have been so popular.

WaratahPage_PetaHewitt2016

For those who like to colour flowers I have created something a little different. This is a waratah surrounded by gumnut flowers and leaves.

SugarGliderCake_PetaHewitt2016

And finally a sweet pair of sugar gliders investigating a floral decorated cake. These sweet, secretive little marsupials are native to where I live.

There are three categories for this competition, one for the platypus, one for the waratah and one for the sugar gliders.  There will be one winner in each category.  You can enter one category or you can enter all three and triple your chances of winning.  Now for the prizes…

Those wonderful people at Australia’s own art supply company are once again sponsoring this competition with specially selected prize packs.  Each  prize pack will consist of a 36 pack of Micador ColouRush Green Earth Collection pencils, a set of Koh-I-Noor Brilliant Watercolours in a handy stack-able wheel palette and a 24 set of wonderful Stylish Brush Markers which are water based dual tipped. (Brush on one end and fine bullet tip on the other.)

MicadorPrizePack1

Micador will be giving away three prize packs, one to each of the three winners.

MicadorPrizePack2

Each item will of course be brand new, and not my well used and well loved ones you see in this picture. I just wanted you to see the great colour range you could win.

HOW TO ENTER.

Following the instructions download and print out the page or pages you want below.  Colour them any way you like with whatever medium you prefer.  Then either scan them or take a good, clear photograph of your finished picture and email them to:

peta@la-artistino.com

REMEMBER to add the words Colouring Contest Entry so that I know what it is.  I get a lot of email. 🙂

Each picture will be uploaded into a special gallery that will go live after the competition has ended.  The winners will be announced on July 5th (my birthday because I love the idea of giving away presents/ prizes on my birthday!)  Winners will be emailed for address details so that they can receive their prize packs.

HIGH QUALITY PDF FILE COLOURING PAGES.  Please note: I wanted to give you clear, crisp images to colour so these files may take a few moments to download.  I suggest that you print on card stock as this will give you a sturdier page to colour on but anything you are happy with will do.  These pages are A4 sized.  If you are not using A4 paper then remember to change your print settings so that the page fits the paper in your printer to avoid having bits cut off.

Good luck everyone!  Happy colouring. 🙂

We are putting together a gallery to show case all the entries. Although people are allowed to request that their entry not go into the gallery if they do not feel comfortable with this.

Peta I am sooooooooo happy to see your platypus picture up there! Saw it in one of your posts and wished so hard that I could get my hands on it. Thank you so much. Going to enjoy these! Couldn’t get to see some real platypus when we visited Australia and I think they are the cutest! So I am extremely excited by that picture on general. I know my sister will do the sugar gliders ad she is totally bonkers for those! It’s 1:00 in the morning in South Africa hoping the printer doesn’t wake hubby! 🙂

OMG I am soooo excited!!! Thank you so very much Peta. I would love to win but just getting my hands on these beautiful pictures you drew. I am so glad I have found your tutorials so I can attempt to do justice to this adorable Platypus! I want to do all three but alas work and young kids will probably not allow it. I shall try though 😉 Thanks again!!!!

Thankyou so much for the chance to be in the competition. You must do a colouring book of your own. I bet it would be a real hit. Thanks to Micador as well, they make great affordable products.

    Hi Peta,

What lovely pictures. I can’t wait to color them. All those people who say you should do a coloring book are right. I would buy it.

I am going to pass on the contest though. More supplies would be like taking coals to Newcastle and I’m not a particularly competitive person. I will just say thank you and color and enjoy.

Thanks you so much for making your artwork available to us to color, and also to Micador for the prizes. After learning so much about colouring from your channel, I’m just delighted to have a chance to colour one of your own drawings. And look, we get three!

Hello Peta! I love your tutorials! Thank you for sharing them! I got started on adult coloring books last fall and I have been hopelesly (but wonderfully) hooked on them since. I have varying sizes of books, subjects and patterns. I enjoy using different mediums, colors and values in each picture. Now I am excited about your new contest and I love the pictures you have created for us to enjoy using different midiums. I, too would love to see everyone’s finished work and will gladly share mine! Thank you very much for this opportunity to add our own special styles on your coloring pictures and for giving us the opportunity to enter the contest. I love collecting different mediums use on my pictures! Each one creates a different finish. And thank you to Micador for the awesome prizes! Good luck and happy coloring to everyone! And an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY wish to you, Peta! COLOURING CONTEST ENTRY

    Hi Peta,

    Quick question about the entries:
Could we submit multiple versions of the same picture? For example, there are a few different ways I want to color the sugar glider picture can I submit three different versions of that same picture?

    Thank you!

    1. Chaypeta (Post author)

Yes, if you have several ideas for the same picture you can submit them all. they will all count.

oh, I just read the description of photos, does it matter a lot if instead of gliders i coloured squirels ? I love their red shades and look very alike (except the ears, which I thought they are abit weird.. hence why I checked the details) haha.

Hi Misha, The end time is midnight on the 3rd of July, AEST (Australian eastern Standard Time.) But i appreciate that people may have difficulty calculating time so I will extend an amnesty for pictures to be included for 20 hours after that deadline.

It boggles my mind that people can be so RUDE! Just because the contest ends does not mean the winners were selected one second after the contest ended. That wouldn’t be fair to those who submitted their entry in the last few minutes. For the future, grow up, put your big girl panties on, and think of others, not just of your self! How very rude and petulant you seem.

She did say she received massive amounts of entries it may take longer than expected to go thru them all.

I agree with Lori, though I am as anxious as the rest of the contestants to not only know who won but to view the gallery of submissions. I just want to throw an idea out there that might/might not give us all a little insight. I believe the last “give away” Peta sponsored there were over 1200 entries. Based on that-what if 1200 contestant entered 1 to 3 times. If she is judging 3600 submissions, she must be up to her neck in crocodiles right about now. I’m thinking it’ll be Friday at the earliest before we know anything.

Peta, Bless your heart – I sincerely hope you have many helpers.
