Luxor

My latest coloured picture from ‘The Magical City’.  This one is titled Luxor.  Again I have completed it using Derwent Inktense pencils and a few lighter coloured Fabre Castell watercolour pencils for much of the sky and swirly bits.  This one was a bit of a puzzle as much of the picture would have to be done in sandy colours.  I spent some time working out how to give it variety and interest.  It was good to get back to the brighter colours on the tomb art.  I have been doing a bit of work in other colouring books to prepare them for video reviews so work in this book has slowed down.  It’s still my favourite book though and the one I will be finishing first.

This is absolutely lovely; Lizzie Mary Cullen’s work is amazing and I’ve been lucky enough to see some of the marvelous murals that she has done for the Zizzi restaurant chain in England – her Covent Garden ballerina is a must to see in London (the food is OK too!). Your really have done her proud with this colouring and I’m sure she’ll be really pleased to see it.
